How to edit a PDF online like Word?

  1. Step 1: Open the file online

No need to download a heavy Adobe software. Just drag the PDF into the web page to load it instantly.

  2. Step 2: Use brush and text tools

Switch tools in the left menu: freehand brush, text highlighter, insert shapes, or add new text.

  3. Step 3: Solidify modifications and export

After annotating, click save in the top left. All changes will be irreversibly solidified into a standard PDF and downloaded.

Why is it the best lightweight editor?

  • No tedious registration or installation

Ready to use immediately! Perfect for emergencies like 'My boss sent a document on WhatsApp that needs immediate annotation and signature'.

  • Silky smooth rendering engine

Powered by advanced WebGL and PDF.js hybrid technology. Zooming, doodling, and highlighting are incredibly smooth, banishing the laggy stereotype of web apps.

  • Purely local, absolute leak prevention

Annotating commercial contracts or insider materials? You definitely don't want to upload them to an unknown cloud. Our pure local architecture gives you 100% peace of mind.

Online PDF Editing FAQ

Q: Can I directly modify typos in the original file?

Due to security and browser native architecture limits, we currently offer 'incremental editing' (whiteout, add text, brush, highlight). You can cover the typo with a white box and type new text over it, which visually looks perfect.

Q: Will my highlights and doodles be visible if the recipient opens it in Adobe software?

Absolutely. All our editing operations strictly follow PDF ISO standards for serialized saving. Once exported, your annotations will be clearly visible no matter what device or reader they use.

Q: If my browser crashes, can I recover the annotations I spent hours drawing?

To prioritize pure local processing speed, a real-time persistence mechanism is not yet introduced. If you accidentally close the page, the current progress is lost. We strongly recommend clicking 'Save & Export' periodically as a backup during heavy annotation.
